What we do with your information
Otium Talent Corp collects personal information in order to place people in work and to meet our obligations as an employer. This page says plainly what we hold and what we do with it.
If you apply for work
We keep your name, contact details, the kind of work you are looking for and your resume if you send one. We use it to match you to shifts. We do not sell it and we do not share it with anyone outside Otium.
If we place you
We then collect what an employer must: identification, proof of your entitlement to work in Canada, your Social Insurance Number for payroll, and banking details to pay you. Your documents are stored securely and access is limited to the people who need it.
A company you are placed with is not your employer and has no automatic right to your documents. If one asks, we ask you first, we name the company, and you can say no without it affecting your shifts. You can withdraw that permission at any time. Your Social Insurance Number is never shared with a client, in any circumstances.
If you are a client
We keep the contact and billing details needed to work with you, and records of the placements and hours we billed.
How long we keep it
Employment records are kept for the periods Ontario and federal law require. Applications from people we did not place are kept while they may still be useful and deleted on request.
Asking us about your information
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Email office@otiumtalent.com or call 647-532-2653 and we will answer.
